Following her acclaimed two CDs of Shapey’s violin works and concerts of his music in New York, Miranda Cuckson continues her advocacy of this great composer’s music with a team of Shapey champions and enthusiasts, including pianist Blair McMillen; clarinetist Charles Neidich, who premiered this clarinet quintet with the Juilliard Quartet after Shapey’s death; David Fulmer, one of Shapey’s last composition students; and young adventurers Chris Gross and Cyrus Beroukhim.
